3 Pumpkin Recipes You Have to Try

As you can probably imagine, at Bengtson Farm, we are huge fans of pumpkins. It’s the reason that for many people, the fall tradition is to swing by and check out our pumpkin chucker which is capable of launching a pumpkin over a quarter of a mile. You might think that with so many pumpkins in our pumpkin patch that we would be sick and tired of pumpkins.

The good news is that that is just not true.

As a matter of fact, in today’s post, we’d like to help everyone get into the fall spirit by offering a few of our favorite pumpkin recipes. “But wait a minute; Bengtson’s Pumpkin Festival doesn’t open again until the fall, right?” That is true, but we think that pumpkins should be enjoyed all year ‘round, so if you agree with us, keep reading to get a few amazing recipes that are sure to put a smile on your face.

Bengtson Farm Recommends…

The Easiest-Ever Pumpkin Pie

This recipe for the Easiest-Ever Pumpkin Pie comes from the folks at Pillsbury, and as the name suggests, making it is a breeze, and in fact, the recipe only calls for about 5 minutes of prep time. It doesn’t get much better than that. All you have to do is combine all of the ingredients and pour them into a pie crust.

It takes about an hour to bake, then it needs to cool for a few hours, but the end result is truly amazing. Reviewers note that it “was very easy to make and it was delicious” and that “it was a huge hit with friends and family.” If you’re looking for something easy to make this weekend, a pumpkin pie might be the perfect change of pace.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Food Network’s recipe for Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies is also a real winner. Whether you make chocolate chip cookies regularly or not, it’s nice to try something a little different. After all, variety is the spice of life, and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies are the pumpkin spice of life.

One reviewer notes that “these cookies are a favorite for friends and family year round,” while another mentions that this is “one of my all-time favorite cookie recipes.” We’d have to agree that it’s one of our favorites as well.

The addition of ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves to chocolate chip cookies is truly amazing and we can’t recommend this recipe highly enough.

Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes

We’ve already covered pies and cookies, so the only thing that’s missing now is cupcakes, and this recipe for Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes from allrecipes is a doozie. The cupcake itself is incredible, but as you’ll soon find out, the cinnamon cream cheese frosting is the icing on the (cup)cake. You can easily knock out all of the prep work in under half an hour, and you’ll be enjoying one of the best sweets you’ve ever had in under two hours.

One reviewer had the following to say: “I just made these cupcakes and they were by far some of the best I have had in a long time. They taste and look like they were purchased from a cupcake store.”

These creamy frosting mixed with the spicy cupcakes are truly something to behold and we wouldn’t be surprised to hear that these cupcakes have found their way into your box of treasured recipes.
